Thrown from a Scottish native stoneware clay from Glasgow with a ‘Kaki’ or Persimmon glaze.
After throwing while still soft, the form is gently distorted.
The glaze is very dependent on thickness of application and develops some of it’s many variations after the firing, as the kiln slowly cools. The surface ranges from rich chocolate through to black in colour with very fine streaks and metallic crystals.
