A thrown and altered porcelain dish with a shallow foot and apple ash glaze.
When freshly thrown the dish is gently distorted to the lobed shape to suggest a five-petalled flower. Apple ash glazes produce the most wonderful, subtle greens, shown best over porcelain.
This dish has distorted very slightly in the firing as the porcelain softens at high temperatures, so rocks a tiny bit on a flat surface.
The teapot featured in the last image is not included but available to purchase separately.
