Thrown from a Scottish native stoneware clay blend with a ‘Kaki’ or Persimmon glaze.
The glaze is very dependent on thickness of application and develops some of it’s many variations after the firing, as the kiln slowly cools. The surface ranges from rich chocolate through to black in colour with very fine streaks and metallic crystals.
