A teapot made using a wild clay found in Glasgow’s west end.
The finish on the Tenmoku glaze is very dependant on thickness of application and shows lovely variation from rusty red through to rich black. On this teapot the left-hand side is predominately rusty and the right-hand side predominately gloss black.
Inclusions in the clay body speckle and melt in the firing, adding further interest to the surface.
