Thrown from a Scottish native stoneware clay blend with a matt glaze.
When it was freshly thrown I gently squashed the vase to distort the form.
The finish on the dry glaze is very dependent on thickness of application and shows lovely variation from dark rust through to pale yellow. Inclusions in the clay body speckle and melt in the firing, adding further interest to the surface.
